A complete design overhaul was required to develop a slick and stylish identity for this regional bi-monthly magazine.
With the end-user in mind, the appealing house-style is designed to slowly yet constantly evolve, ensuring that the publication would always look fresh and engaging, without losing its familiar, established personality.
Helvetica Neue is perfect as the house font – it's classy, it's flexible (with all those different weights) and it lets the rest of the design speak for itself.
After designing, artworking, writing snippets of editorial and creating new features (such as From Budget To Boutique) for more than 25 consecutive issues of MHI, we handed over the reins to the publisher's in-house designer, who is able to easily follow the simple, elegant style that epitomises Midlands Homes & Interiors magazine.
