Coffee heaven

We had a quick wander down to St Paul’s Square at lunchtime to try out the coffee at Saint Caffè (we designed their promotional literature and menu board) and it really is very good. The coffee beans are supplied by some Italian brothers (who know their stuff apparently), and they’re freshly ground on the premises. The beans that is, not the Italians ...

The interior has been decked out in an understated, classy kind of way and is a far cry from the sandwich place that used to be there. I hope you’ll excuse the not-quite-in-focus photography but I had to show this cute heart Lucie put onto the Latte – such a lovely touch. I like it when people consider little details like that.

Next time, I think I’m going to treat myself to one of the petit fours ... or perhaps a macaroon or two ... or a nice big slice of chocolate cake ...
